Ask HN: Is Hacker News the same as it was in the 2010s, if not then why?
Reading what Paul Graham said in "What I've Learned from Hacker News" (2009) it seems like it was a very harsh mockery of today. In the top feed there are news about AMD, Toyota, Minecraft updates, sometimes an article slips through, for example, about neural networks for juniors. It seems strange to me, yes, HN has "news" in the name, but initially this is a place where you come to share experience for free and get it, give life to good authors. No need to say this problem is provoked by the growth of popularity, I know a site on almost the same topic with the same community of more than 10 million in another language (I can cite in the comments) and for more than ten years, articles about programming, IT continue to appear there and does not turn into a news portal for any case related to science. I can only assume that this caused the absence of tags and downvotes, as on SO for articles, since these two points allow you to quickly search for information, get a reaction, even if the topic is rare, and not give way to bad articles, however I am not sure, so I am asking you: why?
I believe that you want to suggest places where I can ask about this, if so, then write here. I asked this here to get answers from modern Hacker News users
People who ask questions without even knowing what they need come across as confused.
