My incompetent prediction you should ignore: we will see an AI burst similar to the stock market crash or something (I dunno what that is tbh), where everyone uses AI to do practically magical things with computers, and for a short while it seems like technological paradise, but then the decay starts to show through very quickly, and the code decay will speed up exponentially, and everything will break nearly as quickly as it all began and shortly thereafter too. But in the end, we will have a fresh start, and all the old wisened devs from the 90s will have new jobs recreating everything from scratch since AI broke everything. And we will have hindsight to lean on too, so everything will be better than when we made it in the 90s the first time around.
